That's right! I offer free and paid beta reading services for most YA genres in the English language (I am more than comfortable reading content in another language in your story, such as phrases or dialogue and things of that nature, no worries). You must contact me with the blurb or general summary of your story and allow me to read a small portion of your story. I will let you know if I will begin negotiating a price with you.

When free beta slots are filled, paid are often still open. Paid beta slots get priority over free beta slots and will be completed based on our mutual agreement. Prices for short stories and flash fiction can range from $10-$25, going either higher or lower depending on whether or not you would like only grammatical corrections, opinions on plots or characters, or everything in between.

I feel most comfortable beta reading for genres I either read myself or genres that I feel I can offer helpful insight on. I am primarily a YA fiction writer and reader, so this is typically what I like to read. Supernatural, mystery, thriller, action, fantasy, and sci-fi are some of the genres I am most interested in. I am not comfortable with offering my advice on erotic, LGBTQ+, and explicit genres/content.

Prices for longer works of fiction can range from $55-$95, going higher or lower depending on whether or not you would like only grammatical corrections, opinions on plots or characters, or everything in between. I will leave the floor open for those who want to negotiate the price so the writer gets the most out of the service. I will also consider and likely add you to my email list so that we can stay in contact, and we can seek support and encouragement from each other as fellow writers and creative minds.

If I have a free beta slot open, feel free to message me with your story's blurb or summary, and I will read a small portion of your story. I will then confirm whether or not I will beta read. If the story has too many errors or I lose interest, I can either suggest a price for my services or keep your contact for the future in case I can better assist you later on (either with the same story or another one you have).
